Great Sage Ascends: Chains Break, Legends Rise Episode 1. 500 years ago, the Buddha wrongly imprisoned the true Sun Wukong in Avici Hell, while the Six-Eared Macaque took his place as the Victorious Fighting Buddha. Wukong later returns with Patriarch Bodhi's aid, only to find his homeland in ruins. Determined to right the wrongs, he reunites with his allies for the greatest showdown against the ultimate villain.
