Believing she's to work, Layla enters a manor but only to discover she is deceived and actually a bride candidate for three vampire brothers—Lucian, Enzo and Elliot. She's supposed to take a deadly trial and, if survives, become the bride. Before that, however, her body is used as a vessel by their uncle Dorian to resurrect his lover and their mother Elizabeth. To save them from her, Layla drives a silver dagger through her heart, but survives with a magic potion in the end.
